David Thorpe

David Thorpe

Software Engineer and Architect

David Thorpe is a Software Engineer and Architect with 18 years of experience in the software development field. He has worked on a range of projects from embedded systems for devices to enterprise systems for large US federal clients like the USPS, the FAA and NASA.

He has also worked on enterprise software employed by large private institutions like banks and CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation). David’s work experience has ranged from federal contractor to employee for commercial software companies like Conquest Systems, Managed Objects and Novell.

David currently works for Intelligent Automation Inc., a research and development company based in Rockville Maryland, USA.His current projects involve Data Analytics with the company’s Networks and Communications group but he also contributes regularly to the Robotics and Electromechanical Systems group as well as the Multi-Agent Systems group.

David Thorpe has worked to bring exposure and love of technology to kids in the US and the Caribbean. For several years, he as supported and created teams that have participated in US First robotics competitions.
